Uravu (Bamboo Village)
This is an eco-friendly tourism center located in Thrikkaipetta, about 10–12 kilometers away from Meppadi. The place is highly renowned for manufacturing exquisite bamboo handicrafts.
- Bamboo Workshop & Factory: Visitors can witness the creation of a wide range of products made from bamboo, ranging from pens to furniture. Hundreds of diverse bamboo items are crafted here.
- Bamboo Nursery: It houses one of the largest nurseries in South India, cultivating more than 50 varieties of bamboo.
- Craft Shop: Tourists can purchase unique bamboo products here, including bamboo speakers, baskets, and even clothing.
