Meppadi is the center of Wayanad’s tea industry. The area is home to vast estates dating back to the British colonial period.
‘BoChe’ Tea Estate & Factory: This is one of the most famous estates in Meppadi. Established by the British in the 18th century, the factory offers visitors an opportunity to witness the various stages of tea processing firsthand.
Sentinel Rock Estate (Harrisons Malayalam Limited): The journey through this estate, located around Soochipara Waterfalls, is particularly scenic. Visitors can also enjoy the thrill of a zipline that runs over the tea plantations.
